Planning and Monitoring Committee



Purpose:

The Planning and Monitoring Committee serves as a strategic body in the engineering college, ensuring the effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of institutional objectives. The committee is responsible for aligning academic, infrastructural, and administrative goals with the college’s vision and mission, fostering sustainable growth and excellence.

Objectives:

  1. Develop and oversee the strategic plan of the institution.

  2. Monitor academic programs and administrative processes to ensure quality standards.

  3. Evaluate the performance of various departments and provide actionable insights for improvement.

  4. Ensure the optimal utilization of resources, including human, financial, and infrastructural.

  5. Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the institution.

  6. Facilitate communication and coordination among stakeholders to achieve common goals.

Functions:

  1. Formulate strategic and operational plans for institutional growth.

  2. Monitor the implementation of academic and administrative policies.

  3. Conduct periodic reviews of departmental performance and institutional achievements.

  4. Identify challenges and recommend strategies to overcome them.

  5. Approve and monitor major developmental projects, including infrastructure and technology upgrades.

  6. Collaborate with external stakeholders such as industry partners, alumni, and government bodies.

  7. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

  8. Develop plans for faculty development, student welfare, and research initiatives.

Powers and Duties:

  1. Policy Formation: Recommend policies and procedures for academic, administrative, and infrastructural advancements.

  2. Resource Allocation: Approve the allocation of resources for various institutional projects and initiatives.

  3. Monitoring Authority: Oversee the progress of academic and administrative activities and ensure adherence to timelines.

  4. Decision-Making: Make critical decisions regarding institutional priorities and developmental activities.

  5. Evaluation: Conduct internal assessments and ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

  6. Reporting: Provide detailed reports to the college governing body and other stakeholders on institutional progress.
