Blog-1
From a recent survey by the Times of India, 83% of Indians aspire to become entrepreneurs. Yet, as of 2025, only about 9% of Indian adults are actively engaged in entrepreneurial ventures, according to the GEM India Reports 2023-2024. Everyone dreams, but only a small fraction takes the leap.

In this blog, I’m going to share the story of one man from that 9% of entrepreneurial Indians. He is neither a business tycoon nor a competitor of the great Mukesh Ambani. But he is a man of iron will, fueled by ambition and responsibility. He lived peacefully with his family and a nine-to-five job—until COVID struck.

With no job, limited savings, and endless hours of idle thinking, he decided it was time to turn his dream into reality. He delved deep into the ideology of entrepreneurship, researching the pros and cons of starting a business. Every evening, he brainstormed new ideas, determined to create a venture that would support his family.

One fine day, he shared his vision with his family: building a small manufacturing unit for incense sticks and exporting them to a top-tier brand. And so, the journey began.

The process moved quickly, but not without challenges—sleepless nights, empty pockets, and serious discussions marked the setup of the small-scale factory.

His family motivated him, and it became a true team effort. After six months of planning and execution, they finally stepped into the factory. Having completed the traditional pujas and rituals, they entered not just with smiles on their faces, but also with confidence and a strong determination in their hearts to reach even greater heights.

BLOG-2
With great aspirations and huge expectation, with dreams as big as his heart the journey of the middle-class businessman began fast and furious. He was punctual, hardworking, and a problem solver. Every day, he approached his work with a sense of purpose that inspired those around him. Each problem, he handled with a lot of perseverance and sincerity to solve it efficiently with least effort and shortest time possible.

On the other side, his wife complemented him perfectly. With her gentle and calm nature, she managed everything else with grace—organizing the factory, attending to the smallest details, and ensuring that the daily work flowed smoothly. Together, they were a team of contrasts yet perfect harmony: his strength and decisiveness balanced by her patience and care, creating a rhythm of dedication that fuelled their shared dream.

He always went to the factory along with his wife early in the morning before the labours came. The factory, though modest, was a space of hope and hard work. He would usually dust the machines and set it up ready by lubricating the parts, making it easier for the labours to work. Meanwhile his wife would arrange the place to dry the incense stick in direct sunlight. This was their daily routine at that time.

After each and every careful step in the journey, there came the hardest part of shipping the processed incense sticks to the dealer they were in contact with .

Once every fortnight, the load had to be exported to the dealers. Each shipment required careful planning, coordination with transporters, and meticulous handling to ensure that the incense sticks reached the destination in perfect condition .But misfortune seemed to shadow their every step.

To their dismay, even the hottest, sunniest days were consistently interrupted by sudden rains that flooded the factory grounds and threatened to ruin the carefully stacked loads.

The nature was never in favour of them . The load hardly ever reached the spot on time , safely.

These incidences shattered the brave heart into pieces .........

Everything turned upside down all of a sudden. The family was devastated, unsure of what to do next. Even after consistently facing irreparable losses, he didn't lose hope. Instead of blaming the situation, he remained calm, determined to find a solution.

He began meeting people who were running the same business and facing similar challenges. Though not highly educated, he surveyed, collected and analysed the data on his own. Yet in the beginning, he missed small loopholes.

As time passed, one hurdle after another slowly cleared. The shipment issue was resolved, were arranged on time and with the help of labours, incense sticks were neatly packed, exported and delivered as scheduled.

Just when relief set in, the next problem arose. Raw materials ran short, and pandemic restrictions made the situation even worse. Soon after, labour issues arose further straining the business.

One evening, with a heavy heart, he returned home, sat quietly with his wife, daughter and son. He carried a deep sorrow inside but remained calm and composed outside. Looking at his family, with a heavy heart, he said, we failed!

After loud quarrels and deep silence in his family, they came to a conclusion to stop everything , burry their dreams right there , without any traces .

Blog-4

It was just a comma, not a full stop. A year passed, he was continuing his nine to five jobs after that break. His strong inner will of being an entrepreneur grabbed an opportunity for him. He was given a contract of setting a small-scale lathe industry and exporting it to the nearby located automobile industry. Again, he started from zero, got motivated by his family.

He invested around 10 lakhs from his savings, trusted the process, believed in universe and started his journey. This time he was clear and accurate in each of his moves. The industry was set in a location where the labours could easily access, and it was nearer to the exporting company.

They had no idea until shipping their first load, whether it's a loss or win game. But two days after the shipment of the spares he was profited with 30,000 rupees. Yes, it was a big win for the family.

If you have read the blog from first to now, at least once you would have thought, who would be that ‘He’.

The ‘He’ as I already mentioned is a common middle class family man, My father, who could go to any extreme for his family like any other father in this world.

He taught me everything about hard work, perseverance and presence of mind without teaching me. Inspiring personalities are not only found in great leaders or entrepreneurs, but also inside every common man like my father who aspire to improve their standard of living.
