I bring 17 years of professional experience dedicated entirely to engineering education, with a core specialization in Power Electronics and Drives. Currently, I serve as the Controller of Examinations. Over the course of my academic career, I have authored 68 research papers published in reputed international journals and conference proceedings. I am also a proud Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). My expertise spans across teaching, research, examination management, academic administration, accreditation, institutional quality assurance, and academic planning. Driven by innovation, my current research interests include Power Electronics, Renewable Energy Systems, Smart Grids, Electric Vehicles, Industrial Automation, IoT, and Artificial Intelligence applications.
EDUCATION: (Qualification details)
Holds a Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, awarded in the year 2021.
Obtained a Master's degree in Power Electronics & Drives with First Class from Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology (A Government of Tamil Nadu Institution), Karaikudi, under Anna University-Trichy, in the year 2009.
Completed Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with First Class from Mookambigai College of Engineering, Pudhukottai, under Anna University-Chennai, in the year 2007.
PROFESSIONAL ROLES: (Service/Experience)
I have over 17 years of dedicated experience in engineering education and academic administration. I currently serve as the Controller of Examinations. Previously, I have held key academic leadership positions, including Head of the Department, Institutional Innovation Cell, Department Accreditation and Training & Placement. Throughout my career, I have played a significant role in examination management, academic planning, NBA/NAAC accreditation activities, quality assurance initiatives, faculty development and institutional administration.
I have also organized several Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), workshops, seminars, and value-added courses to promote academic excellence and professional development.
Published 68 articles in international journals and conferences (including 44 Scopus indexed and 3 SCI indexed papers), presented 47 conference papers and conducted/attended 32 seminars, workshops and faculty development programmes. reviewed SCI journals, and actively guides research in Power Electronics, Renewable Energy, Smart Grids, Electric Vehicles, IoT, and Artificial Intelligence applications.
ACHIEVEMENTS: (Awards/Contribution to NAAC/NBA/Events Organized/Grants Received)
Serves as a Reviewer for SCI journals. Received a Certificate of Appreciation for Cent Percentage Result and Certificate of Appreciation Best administrator. Involved in NAAC/NBA accreditation processes for the department and organized various value-added courses, faculty development programmes and workshops.
MESSAGE DESK TO STUDENTS & FACULTY
Examinations are the cornerstone through which an institution certifies the knowledge, skill and integrity of its students to the outside world. As Controller of Examinations, my constant endeavour is to ensure that every examination conducted is fair, transparent and free from malpractice, so that the certificate a student carries out of this institution truly reflects their competence.
We continuously work towards strengthening our examination processes through timely scheduling, secure question paper management, prompt and accurate evaluation, and swift redressal of student grievances. Technology is being progressively adopted to bring greater efficiency, transparency and reliability to every stage of the examination cycle.
I urge students to approach examinations not merely as a formality to be cleared, but as an honest measure of their learning, and to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity at all times. I also thank the faculty and staff of the examination cell for their unwavering commitment and diligence, which make the smooth conduct of examinations possible.
